Editorial Policy

Rapid Automatic Access publishes practical guidance based on our work with gates, doors, boom gates, turnstiles, access control and related systems in Australia. This policy explains how we make that guidance useful, accountable and clear about its limits.

Who writes and reviews our guides

Updated technical articles identify a named author and a separate reviewer selected for the subject. Their role and relevant experience appear with the article. A byline means the named person is accountable for the published guidance; we do not assign bylines simply to fill a template.

Some older articles are still moving through this process. Where an article does not yet show an author, reviewer and meaningful dates, readers should treat it as legacy content pending review.

Sources and first-hand evidence

We prefer primary sources such as legislation, regulators, official codes, Standards Australia records, manufacturer technical documents and our own verified project records. Sources are linked near the relevant claim wherever practical.

Project examples and images must relate to genuine work that we can verify. We remove identifying customer or site details when privacy, security or contractual obligations require it, and we do not invent case studies.

Safety, accessibility and compliance

Articles about safety, accessibility, privacy, traffic management, strata requirements or standards receive additional subject review. Regulations and site conditions vary by jurisdiction and change over time, so our articles provide general guidance rather than legal, engineering or certification advice. A site-specific assessment may still be required.

Dates and updates

“Published” records the genuine first-publication date. “Updated” changes only after a meaningful editorial revision, not a routine content-system save. When a change materially affects the advice, we recheck the sources and reviewer.

Commercial transparency

Rapid Automatic Access sells, installs and services many of the systems discussed in our guides. Recommendations are therefore written to explain suitability, limitations and decision criteria, not to imply that one product is right for every site. Article links may lead to our service pages and quote forms; we do not use paid affiliate links in the blog.

Corrections

If you identify a factual error, outdated source, inaccessible recommendation or missing qualification, please contact us with the article URL and the passage concerned. We investigate substantive corrections and update the article and its meaningful revision date when warranted.
